Federal Funding Freeze Update

Know your breastfeeding rights

Did you know that as a breastfeeding parent you have certain rights? There are laws in place to help you meet your breastfeeding goals, including laws about breastfeeding in public and pumping at work.

You can talk to your local WIC office about breastfeeding laws in your area. Learn more about your rights as a breastfeeding employee in California.

When parents return to work or school, their own milk continues to be the best food for their babies. WIC parents who work full time or attend school for long hours may be eligible for an electric breast pump at no cost to you.
